Search Engines Optimization - 5 EASY steps

It might take a while before you get accepted to adsense. They get sooo many applications per day. I might as well say, that the amount of applications they get per day is 10 times more than the number of visitors i get a year. Just began blogging a few days ago. I feel its a wonderful way to share all I know.

But this site may take a lot of time to reach a good search engine ranking, and hence, may take a lot of time before people actually start pouring in. Till then ill write. By the way, talking of search engine rankings, let me give you a few tips to actually get a good ranking. These tips come from experience. No boring seminar conversation results and paid email tips. I hope it helps you, cause now you need to build your site :-

  • Choose a good, common, but not so common name for the title of your website/blog. Say for example - the title “my blog about my life” will get you no-where. Unless you mention this title a million times as such in the index (first) page of your site and also in the meta tags. Now, thats foolishness. So, choose a name such as “Yahoo-life”. Now, the idea behind this is that MANY people search for “yahoo” and many for “life”. Now, the title does its job (its snazzy), and also, when searched presently in the search engines, would yield VERY few results. So, you get yourself a good name, and an identity on the web.
  • The more efficient way is to make the title to the point. Be SPECIFIC. Don’t make the title like “technology blog”, because, its going to get you nowhere. Make the title like “Technology - gizmos, robots, hardware troubleshooting”. Now, include these keywords like “gizmos”,”gizmos and robots”,”technology gizmos” etc. etc. in the meta keywords.
  • Search Engines have SPIDERS that crawl the web, and when they see your site, they consider the first few words of title, and first few words of the content of the site, and first few keywords and description as TOP PRIORITY. So, be sure to mention the IMPORTANT words in the beginning.
  • When using a CMS, or a blogging tool on your domain, then there is an option for SEF URL’s with every such script. If not internally built, then there are tools and scripts available on the net that help you do so. Therefore, choose such SEF ( Search Engine Friendly) URL’s that contain the article or theme of the page.
  • Therefore, to recap - You need the same keywords and phrases in the TITLE & META SECTION & URL’S & ARTICLE/CONTENT. Happy Searching.
And if you ask me, then asking professionals to optimize your site is really a waste of money. Just go by the rules and believe me, the best things on line are free!!
